Tamara Martella is a vocalist from Vancouver Island who performs live jazz. Vocal groups are a place where she has worked in the group dynamic, having performed as a back-up vocalist, done commercial work, toured in Europe with classical choirs as a section leader, and is a big supporter of developing yourself in any way you can.

"Music is something that is in each human being, there is no escaping it."

Having a diploma in Jazz Studies from Vancouver Island University (formerly known as Malaspina College), studied Pedagogy at the Victoria Conservatory of Music, and privately tutored with vocalists from the U.S. and Europe, her years of experience has lead her to providing vocal workshops for singers of various levels, from the pure beginner to the established.

"Since I was a young girl I have always wanted to be a singer. I have taught voice for many years and it is always very gratifying to see a singer blossom and really find their voice!"
